Ayurveda for Yoga Students: Dr. Kumar from Mysore in NYC

Dr. Anil Kumar, the legendary Ayurvedic physician from Mysore, South India will be giving a series of lectures and consultations especially geared towards the modern, western yoga practitioner. Anyone seeking information and guidance on how to positively harmonize these two strains of ancient wisdom within their own unique constitution should plan to attend the lectures and have a consultation.

Dr. Kumar will be available for individual consultations on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, & Monday, Oct. 3rd - 8th, during the following hours: 10am - 12pm & 1:30pm - 4pm.

Consultations are of two lengths: 20 minutes or 40 minutes. Please contact AYNY to schedule an appointment.

The lecture schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, Oct 3, 6-8 pm: Introduction and brief historical overview of Ayurveda.

Thursday, Oct 4, 6-8 pm: Branches of Ayurveda and basic principles of dosha, dhatu (tissue), mala (toxins), and Agni.

Friday, Oct 5, 6-8 pm: Pharmacological actions of food and medicine.

Saturday, Oct 6, 6-8 pm: Home remedies.

Monday, Oct 8, 6-8 pm: Marma and the pranic systems.

Cost: $40/evening, or $150 for all nights.

All events happen at Ashtanga Yoga New York and Sri Ganesha Temple.

I am Reza Ghojoghi 33 years old from Iran that i am prepared to start my education in Mysure , but sorry to say that i couldn't find my favorite study field in my searches about Metaphysics and hidden sciences (and moral astronomy).
I want to ask you please to lead me ,how can i find these centers teaching the above mentioned sciences academic or non-academically.
