Matsyendra, Robert Heinlein, And Stranger
Sometimes the interwebs get all gooey. Like when you're searching for books about the ancient, tantric, Jonah-like, fish sage Matsyendra (after whom the pose matsyendrasana is named) at Amazon, and a page from Robert Heinlein's 1961 classic Stranger In A Strange Land pops up.
Link.

One of Svabodas Aghora books has some Matsyendra info. Maybe "At the Left Hand of God". In the back he gives a page to each one of the 9 "Nath Siddhis"....along with excellent illustrations by Robert Beer.
One of my spiritual advisors. OK, my former therapist, pointed out that the major difference in the story of Jonah and Matsyendra was that while Jonah resisted and shrunk away from his dharma, Matsyendra embraced his. One might even say he aggressively pursued it.
