A Time When Lord Saturn Is Illuminated By The Sun
It is said that when Lord Saturn (Shani) opened his eyes as a baby for the very first time, the Sun (Lord Surya, Saturn's father) went into an eclipse.
This past October, the robotic Cassini spacecraft drifted into Saturn's shadow and looked back toward an eclipsed Sun.
Of this image, Bruce Sterling rightly noted, if it "doesn't inspire you with awe, you're uninspirable."
Om Lord Saturn! Please teach us what you know! We bow to your greatness. Saturdays are named after you. Om pram prim proum sah shanaye namah!
